Sculpting in Relief – Leduc

Discover the joy of sculpting in relief in this hands-on workshop with natural pottery clay. Guided by your passionate instructor, you will explore the nuances of the relief sculpting. Through step- by-step demonstrations, participants will experience basic sculpting techniques, emphasizing the creation of lively and evocative sculptures. Using their own photos or images, participants will create a unique and original 12 x 12 inch “tile” relief sculpture with specialized pottery clay. This workshop is designed for all skill levels, fostering a supportive and creative environment where each artist can infuse their unique emotions into the clay, resulting in a truly expressive and personalized sculpture. Renowned Albertan artist and sculpting instructor Ryan Kurylo brings his expertise and passion to every class, with a gentle approach and enjoyable teaching style he has inspired many to discover, or re-discover their passion for sculpture.

Participants are encouraged to bring multiple reference images to choose from, either printed for 12×12″ tile or electronically on a phone or tablet.
